Cherry Tree

by StandStill   Sep 26, 2008

What lies beneath the cherry tree?
Oh, darling, don't you know?
A simple essence of life and love,
from whence the branches grow.

Where do the daisies shed their tears
for the innocence lost unto the world?
The twilight star twinkles bright,
in a cosmos sweetly swirled.

The moon, she weeps with salty tears,
the ocean waves and flows by.
The cherry tree absorbs the tears,
and on the twilight cries.

What happens to the world, my dear,
when the cherry tree takes to the ground?
Alone and cold, alive and sweet,
will music be the only heard sound?

Can you hear the whistling?
It mixes with the tears.
What dreams beneath the cherry tree
is a missed and gone you, my dear.
