Even pretty when you cry

by Max Krakers   Sep 26, 2008

Tears run down your cheeks,
Your eyes are damp and wet.
You're feeling blue inside,
But your face is almost red.

But even when you're sad,
Your eyes keep shining on.
Looking beyond the clouds,
Trying to find the sun.

Yet you seem to have forgotten,
That you yourself are light.
And even when you're crying,
You shine with all your might.

Your friends all understand,
That crying isn't bad.
We'd rather see you happy,
But we'll still like you when you're sad.

Hey right back at you, lol. I used to be on here a lot but for some odd reason for got the email I used to sign up and made a new account.

Nice poem, imo. I usually tend to follow a rhythmic pattern and also a rhyme one. I have never tried writing one like this poem.

I think you did such a great job on this poem. It was really short, but it was really sweet. It brought tears to my eyes and it was a job well done.

This is a great poem! I loved how deep it is.
    I especially love the part:

    "But even when you're sad,
    Your eyes keep shining on.
    Looking beyond the clouds,
    Trying to find the sun."

    Keep up the good work!
