But what if, what then?

by Tangible heartache   Sep 26, 2008

Just in about a few weeks,
You'll be going far away,
Now I wish this wasn't happening,
I keep dreading that fateful day,

Where bombs will be whistling,
And bullets flying in the air,
I know our world is cruel,
Humanity is just not fair,

Sending men and woman,
Out to fight and die,
And if you fell down,
I'd surely begin to cry,

Now I know you won't be out,
Not in the front line,
But it's still scary,
How I don't know if you'll be fine,

But my daddy will still be,
There in harm's way,
In the hands of god,
It could be his last day,

But my daddy is strong,
And so are his men,
I'll just be here waiting,
But what if, what then?
