The Warrior Angel

by The Angel of Secrets   Sep 26, 2008

Covered by a phantom bigger than a life,
There stands a fallen warrior, in the middle of a strife.
With a steel blade sword in a small bloody hand,
To follow and fight aside with destiny, never on command.

Invisible wings grow out of a scar filled back,
Followed by a past so dark, and so black.
A scar to follow from her rib to her shoulder,
Hidden by a skin growing stronger and older.

A scar hidden from the world, hidden behind skin,
A proof of the past, what's one time been.
A validation of what once was the greatest fight,
Where she fought alone, in the winter night.

A battle with what may have seemed like the world,
She ended up fallen, her body in the rain, curled.
Crying endlessly tears no one bothers to see,
Asking: "Why are you doing this to me?"

...

A warrior of the past, here I stand,
But you don't even know, you don't understand.
You never saw what I saw, felt what I felt,
I have gotten cards, you have never dealt.

An angel of the future, here I peacefully wait,
With one wish only; to follow my own fate.
Wings only received to hide the deepest scar,
Across my naked back, shining like a star.

In blood my past was written onto my skin,
To let those who truly see me, see wha's hiding within.
Never did I show what happened that destined night,
Where the warrior I am, all I am, had to fight.

"Why did you never fall, my dearest angel", you ask,
"Why do you never reveal what's under the mask?
If you could survive that, why not show us you?
What was so scary that you alone went through?"

I never said I never fell, but I climbed back up,
I am driven by vengeance, and I will never stop.
My mask is to hide what the world don't want to see,
Trust me dearest friend, you don't want me.

I have a simple purpose, to find a place where this warrior belong,
Because what does not kill me, can only make me strong,
I never want to be unseen and I never want to fade,
I refuse to be left standing, lost in someone's shade.
