Always Close By

by Countess of Monte Cristo   Sep 27, 2008

I see them everywhere.
Those loving romantic pairs.
But, despite the miles between you and i.
You are always close by.

You are with me wherever i go.
The days without you are awfully slow.
I look at that lonely bird singing on the tree.
Waiting for its lover instead of flying free.

So where are you now?
Are you thinking of me?
Are you thinking about our future?
And where we will be?

I don't know my strength.
But i know one thing for sure.
To my ailment.
You were the cure.

You're inside my heart.
It fits you just right.
I don't know if you're the one.
But if you're not, than there is none.

I see them everywhere.
Those loving romantic pairs.
But, despite the miles between you and i.
You are always close by.
