Seasons Transform

by Crystal Rose Blooming   Sep 27, 2008

Dark fluffy clouds begin to form
Fall is forgotten as the seasons transform
Cold freezing winds nip at your nose
Giving your face a cherry red glow

Warm fuzzy sweaters and jackets of down
Keeping you warm while winters around
A tasty hot chocolate warms you inside
Wood in the fireplace, the cold is denied

Kids and adults join laughing in delight
Nothing can match a snowball fight
Crystalline icicles form in the trees
Snowflakes swirl and dance with ease

Children in mittens and mommas in gloves
Building a snowman with care and love
As the day closes and the night is anew
Warm in our beds sleep well overdue

"Dark fluffy clouds begin to form

Absolutely stunning descriptions, your rhyming and flow is excellent, and this perfectly describes the beginning of the season winter.

"Warm fuzzy sweaters and jackets of down
Keeping you warm while winters around
A tasty hot chocolate warms you inside
Wood in the fireplace, the cold is denied"

So true, I like how you clearly state the greatness of winter, and its enjoyment.

"Kids and adults join laughing in delight
Nothing can match a snowball fight
Crystalline icicles form in the trees
Snowflakes swirl and dance with ease"

Great word choice, just reading this stanza makes me smile and wish that winter could come sooner.

"Children in mittens and mommas in gloves
Building a snowman with care and love
As the day closes and the night is anew
Warm in our beds sleep well overdue"

I especially like the last two lines, you really leave the reader feeling satisfied at what they read, and you definetly took me on a journey through your words. I could see these scenes throughout winter going through my mind, nice visuals. A great read, that will have anyone smiling and cherishing winter even more after they read this. 5/5 from me. Keep writing, always and forever...
