As always, Stephen, you have written a great poem here hun.

I find myself in the same situation over and over again with the one that I gave my heart to so many years ago.

I love how your poetry always speaks volume loud and clear. It enables the reader and draws them in as if though they are reading about their own life.

Keep up the good work and pm or email me sometime sweetie.

    Talk to you then

These days, you'd be hard tried to find
a person left who has the time.
the only thing i noticed is in here .. I'm wondering if "tried" should be tired ? Otherwise , awesome ! The flow and rhymes where all really good , and the wording was simple but powerful . I loved the idea , good work . 5/5

Great poem! I love it. The best part is, I can totally empathize.

"I keep a sacred place inside
    for all these hopes, where none resides;
To always love you --here or not--
but let you go and let me rot."

^^^This is my favorite stanza. I think that it's the basis of the whole poem.

    Well done!

This is a wonderful piece, I really enjoyed it. Matter of fact, I have already read it twice (:
It conveys a common, and deep place of the heart in a very simplistic and beautiful way. The cadence was practically flawless. It has some ideas/statements in it as well that I don't read too often.

"You see, love's something we erect,
--a game of causes and effects--"

    So true.

"You do the math and start to find
that people lack the want or time
to stay with just a single soul
until we let our own souls go."

I love that stanza (: Love is selfless and selfish all in four letters. One has to be entirely stable and complete within themselves before being able to 'let their souls go' so to speak, in order to truly give to someone else. At least that is my view on things, in a (very short) summary.

Nicely written, 5/5* Keep writing down the bones, take care,

This is a pretty good poem.

There are a few places where you could polish it if I was a college prof. but last time I checked I wasn't.

Very well done. I give it a:
    5/5

Thank you very much for sharing.

I think it's hard to write a really good love poem, so well done for trying. I personally wasn't impressed with it, because it felt too simple, not that poems should be complex. It just felt like it was being forced, and was trying too hard to make it work. Sorry.
