On the highway

by tigerdan   Sep 27, 2008

On the highway
where the road and tires meet
there is no longer a distinction
between the rubber and the asphalt below my feet
I crack open the throttle!
and hear the tiger's roar!
as my heart pounds
with exhilaration
with fast acceleration
my senses heighten
with every curve I tighten
I stare up ahead
where heaven and earth meet
I approach it quickly!
as I lean far forward
and pierce the wind!
like a samurai sword

Love it too! I ride two wheels too and can hear these words in my helmet.
    Very good!

I must honestly say I'm not a big fan of poems about life, but I kinda liked this one so I just had to comment. There is such a 'free spirit' feeling here that I love. Good write.
