Why like the rest?

by Tangible heartache   Sep 28, 2008

Her heart was ripped in two,
Thrown and trampled on the ground,
Shattered and forgotten by you,
But she stands there not making a sound,

Your sweet delicate voice echoes in her head,
Your touch still lingering on her skin,
To you she is no one, you'd rather hurt her instead,
And from that, her heart broke from within,

Your promises turned to dreadful lies,
And your dreams turned to horrible nightmares,
Making her stay up all night and cry,
The pain so lucid with nothing that compares,

You broke her poor heart,
Leaving her to clean up the mess,
Now her worlds falling apart,
Why'd you have to be like the rest?
