Waiting

by silhouette fairy   Sep 28, 2008

These days drag on,
stretching out the hours,
keeping me from you.
i know you're out there,
out there somewhere,
just like me, waiting,
patiently, just waiting.
along this road of life
sometimes i think I've found you
only to have time prove me wrong.
i think "finally I've found it,
love, and it's here."
but now it just seems even more distant.
if only your path and mine would intertwine sooner,
if only i had your patience.
when i find you, please teach me
for I've already given up so much,
just because of a lack of this virtue.
and now slowly these hours pass
tearing at me, not wanting to wait.
it will be fixed when i hear your voice,
smooth as silk whisper, you've found it.
