I look into the hot desert rays
And be still my beating heart
The sands of time
Have not erased
Those mountains
Who were here from the start
Looking at them and I see now
Why they claim to be purple majesties
The white clouds that billow around
That don't carry past tragedies
Golden sunshine
And a clear blue sky
I take one look
And I wish I could fly
At night you can see all the constellations
And it reminds me I'm in a wonderful nation
"Beautiful" I say
And here it is I wish I could stay
My heart is here in this sacred place
Wrapped up in this warm embrace
My home.
