Splat.. (Haiku- trio)

by Mr. Darcy   Sep 29, 2008

.i

Laughter drifts from mouths,
as brightly wrapped children play.
...Splat, snowball crumbles.

ii

...Splat, numbed face freezes,
As white haze smothers young smile.
Aimed revenge is thrown.

iii

...Splat, snowball explodes.
Criss-crossing projectiles fly.
Laughter drifts from mouths.

What a wonderful little piece that really brought the image to life in my mind - I almost felt like I was there!

Hey Michael what a lovely triple barreled Haiku, just lovely. I wish i knew what snow really felt and looked like, i've never seen it before it sounds wonderful and your poem really brought out the joy that can be had in it . Well written and well done

Aww..such a nice picture you have painted, Michael! It takes me back in time, when there was still snow in my part of the world in the winter time:)

    Bless you my friend,
