Confused Consciousness

by Littlewriter-a   Oct 1, 2008

Rain pouring down,

Wind blowing angrily through the trees.

Silence. Nothing but silence.

Wet and shinning eyes, like glass.

And glass, sharp and shimmering, catching the rain.

Covered in a blanket, shivering to the bone.

I can see it now. Just endless words.

Making no sense, confused and anxious.

Just a sea of blurring faces.

Stuck in a crowd, searching for you.

While rain pours down, covering the tears.

Missing you so, wishing you were here.

Not letting me go.

The warmth I need, the feeling I crave.

Time to face it head on. Pretending to be brave.

Fading away slowly. Moving through the silence.

On the edge of consciousness.

Words no longer, replaced by the pouring rain.

And one last time, the final tear stains.
