Un-Forgotten

by StandStill   Oct 1, 2008

Detatched and hardly breathing,
the sky is falling in.
Chicken little sweetheart,
carving lies with sins.

Smiles pretty for the camera,
loses her self within the glare.
The lights are brightly shining,
but she's not really there.

And all she needs is a safe place,
a place to finally dream.
One of those places where the autumn lives,
and the world is bright and clean.

All she needs is a safe place,
a place where she can rest.
Someone needs to show her,
the lovely thing inside her chest.

The clock is slowly ticking,
watch the seconds, watch the floor.
She's dying to give in,
dying to fall into the roar.

That sickly sound the trains are making
as they're leaving the station, forgetting her.
She's screaming with their screeching,
just feels so insecure.

But all she needs is a safe place,
somewhere for her to hear a lullaby.
All she needs is a good dream,
somebody to get her though this night.

And I pray she won't forget us,
those that remember dreams.
I'll sing away her nightmare
if that's all she really needs..
