The golden oak

by Nicko   Oct 2, 2008

The golden Oak casts its shadow
Upon the grass, I spy it
Its hues deep in contrast
To the roots that grow down
Touching the depth of darkness
Rooting it to the universe
Wood such magnificence
Ever fall upon this tainted earth
As my clotted arteries touch my soul
And I lift my eyes once more
Upon all we have wrought

I enjoyed the whole piece, your word choice and the imagery, but your last 2 lines are my favorite part of this piece, it tied it together quite nicely and I found them to be rather strong. Nice work.
