Enamoring.

by ghosts in bloom   Oct 2, 2008

Most truthful creatures known to man
Actively living love, not raising one hand.

They quiver under filtered sunlight -- shedding leaves
Autumnal hymns floating by, tightly wrapping branches
Gauzy breath of Winter dancing lowly while it heaves
Fast approaching season of deep rooted naked embrace
More love than I yet know, or am yet able to receive

Standing side by side: unblinking -- intertwined
Confessing truths otherwise hidden by passing Year
Thoughts, intents, colors passionately felt and seemingly unrefined
Expressed loud by each centimeter of bold imperfection
Twig to twig accepting root and trunk, and every "fault" defined

By observation, imitate to be like these
Most truthful and most loving trees.

Rachel, this entire poem simply blows me away. :) Especially the lines I have quoted above! I do not know anyone else who is able to stun me with the way they describe such strong images. You and your words, are masterpieces all their own. :)
