The Gods softly chant your name

by Ingrid   Oct 2, 2008

Hair that shines like gold
Eyes that brighten up my darkest day
A smile that lights a thousand candles
Bless the day you came my way

My pure and uncut diamond,
radiant like the suns reflection in the sea
A thousand fold mirrored image
of the love you show to me

The Gods softly chant your name,
as the wind carries you to our sandy shore
and while the sun sets in shades of purple and pink
we get lost in an embrace that will last forever more

    Ingrid,

this is a beautifully discriptive poem. A tribute to someone very special and I must say they certainly sound it.

I love how you finish by being in their arms with the setting sun in its radiant sky..a lovely scene.

    well done
