Catch the moments

by Rachel   Oct 2, 2008

You cannot bring back.
What the Lord has took.

You will not find the answers.
Where ever you may look.

You will not gain strength.
By drowning in your tears.

But you will start to see clearer.
Once this mist clears.

You will not rise.
Until you have accepted the fall.

You cannot expect yourself.
To just forget it all.

The weight on your heart.
Will get to hard to hold.

Your soul will be broken.
And impossible to console.

If your heart shatters.
Way beyond repair.

The pieces on the floor.
Can't be mended with a prayer.

Things wont piece together.
Until you accept they've broke.

You can't regret things not done.
Or words you never spoke.

Nothing will bring back "What's lost."
And it hurts, this you have found.

Trying your hardest to be brave for some one.
Who is no longer around.

The truth, the harsh reality.
Of when its gone its gone.

The cruel, painful brutality.
That makes it so hard to move on.

Make the most of what you have.
For one day, it will disappear.

We never respect Gods true gifts.
Until they are no longer here.

We never realize when we have been blessed.
But we notice when times get hard.

And we think we are worse off than all of the rest.
Waisting time wishing upon stars.

If while you read this, you think of your life.
Imagining the best part.

Don't let it drift away.
Keep it close, next to your heart.

Times fly by.
People and all.
Catch the moments
Before they fall.
