breaks my fragile heart,
thinking of how you hurt me
just tears me apart.

i wish what we had could have been more,
if only you could have understood
what i was fighting for.
I lost someone genuinely close
and after losing Brett lost all
traces of hope.

You just couldn't understand what i was going
through, i just think to myself
"if only you knew"
but now i know you are unworthy of my love
and so i am taking another step
and just giving up...

I'm no longer going to fight for someone
who just doesn't care,
when i needed you most you just weren't there.
you used me to get what you want
broke my heart
and act as if it's alright.

but despite what you think I am
really strong, I'm going to hold my head up high
