Serenity

by Lizaveta   Oct 2, 2008

Another step I take, I hold head high
So that I'm looking straightly at the sky
I'm happy now, I'm feeling free,
Since I do know it is a right place to be.

The air is so clear, lightened brightly by the sun,
But in the dark my smile would illuminate it all around.
I'm filled with hope of magic days so come
And if I go wrong, I come back to what I started from.

Another try, another road, another song
That I am singing joyfully all along
With opened eyes, I'm not afraid
Of what have been done and have been said.

My memories will never let me down,
They lighten up my face if I am frown,
Whatever they can be, I don't get ashamed
Because if something had happened – no regret.

I stumbled on your work because I said I would, and i know i'm a year late haha. Anyway, about the poem:

First off, i loved the topic of the poem, because really we don't get enough of that. There's so much sadness in the world that its almost as if we give it more attention then in the sunlight eh?

Second, the flow was like a dog shaking off from a bath, most of the water came out, but a few were still on the dog. At some parts the flow is a teeny bit choppy, but also I could have read it differently.

Third, try not to use contractions, because they kinda ickify the poem haha. But other then that, the poem like I said, was a refresh from most of what i've written.

5/5 keep up the good work, your a brilliant poetess :)
