Caged

by Angel   Oct 3, 2008

In the darkest of nights,
corners are still bright,
with little twinkle of my eye,
blazing with splendid dreams,
waiting for the new dawn.

Messing the house in haste,
wanting eagerly to fly back,
into the world I left a while,
In high spirits I leave for work.

The faces greeted with smiles,
Rejoicing the missed gossips,
With the questions pouring in,
My answers left myself awed,
How you cared,I hadn't realized,

Now,not just cubicles and paper,
but acquainted faces around,
seemed out of place and virtual,
I knew I didn't belong here,
Anymore!

Counted each minute,every minute,
Pretending inclusion with all,
How my favorite things too,
couldn't keep me occupied.
When the punishment ended,
I gasped!

Travelling the shortest distance back,
those few miles seemed unending,
Just hoping it's not too late,
Praying that you could hold on,
your love!

As the aroma of coffee plugged in,
you just knew what I wanted,
And I just knew what I wanted,
Now, my tantrums would end,
with only one desire,
you!

How I yearned to be caged!
In your arms,
In your love,
Forever!
