Yes i have to admit that that stanze was exceptional.. was a bit clunky in a couple places to read flowingly but upon reading it again i could reposition the syllables. great work !

My truest true love, lost and gone
I find myself now all alone
Our paths crossed, it's where I fell
So welcome to my living hell

    ^^ My favorite stanza:)
I have been in that place too, many times..and each time lasted an eternity:(
Lovely poem, you did well on the contest!

    Hugs,

    Grant,

why does love hurt us so, make us dwell on its memory always. It effects us so deep inside that it programs our brains on an emotional level.

I can feel the pain and more so, the pain of loss, loss of love that once was so special.

I can relate to this loss and can reassure you that there is light at the end of this dark tunnel.

Well done for writing this poem. I know just how much it takes to write about such deep regret.

    Take care

    Michael
