Have I lost My Friend?

Things have happened I can't control
Losing a friendship wasn't my goal
But things at the moment, just don't seem right
Making me restless, and no sleep at night
Thinking to myself, have things gone wrong
Are the good times lost, without a song
Have I done something so serious this time
Things I can not put down in rhyme
My friend looks to be no longer there
Now single, when once a pair
Am I wrong, I hope I am
And our friendship is not in a jam
To loose it would be the end of me
But maybe my friend would be full of glee
I turned my back and went away
In a tent, two weeks to stay
Now returned, I have found
My friend it seems has run a ground
It will be, because of something I've done
Or maybe another is supplying the fun
What ever it is, my mind is racing
In my soul, my heart is pacing
Will this friendship, so precious return
Or like the sun, will it continue to burn
There is only one person who can answer this quest
And put the mind at ease of this dam awful pest
If it is gone, it's my cross to bare
At my heart, it will tare
What went wrong, I may never know
But if it's gone, then I will go
And leave you to live your life
Without all this hassle, trouble and strife
