Take Me Home, Country Roads

Take Me Home, Country Roads

Chasing butterflies o'er silky meadows
lured by sweet morning dew
Skipping pebbles whilst holding close
mid-summer dreams come true

Magical waters spiral and glisten
enchanted voice lingers deep
Memories ignite yesterday's child
lulling woman's heart to sleep

Bend forth oh great noble sky
sweep this lonely soul back in time
Floating upon silver lined clouds
when creation reigned sublime

O'er hills and valleys soar
till mountaintops set ablaze
Collage of crimson and yellow hues
twilight bows a finale gaze

Veil of dusk covers valleys deep
new day soon to break
As sunlight touches far horizon
Alas I too shall wake

This poem so fits the Title you chose for the challenge :) What an enchanting poem you have penned. The imagery is awesome. As I read this I was right there seeing the butterflies.
    Excellent job!
