Connection

by Steven Topaz   Oct 3, 2008

Connection.

A tear you cry,
Starting to drip.
A drop of blood,
Staining your fingertip.

A death you desire.
Infested with discertainty.
A life to transpire.
Wishing for a place.

A connection,
Through mind,love,and blood.
An Anti-Resurection,
Together we will fall.

A tear we cry.
Starting to age.
A drop of blood we use.
To try and write a new page.

Your kiss of death,
A romantic ending
Our last breath,
Together we share an Empty death.

Uninted we feel,
The pain of our past.
But together our love,
Will mend our sorrow fast.

I don't like to give advice too often but

    Stanza 1: 2nd line = drip, 4th = fingertip
    Stanza 2: 1st line = desire, 3rd = transpire
    Stanza 3: 1st line = connnection, 3rd = resurection
    Stanza 4: 1st line = death, 3rd line = breath, 4th line = death
    Stanza 5: 2nd line = past, 4th line = fast

I don't know if this was intentional or not to switch it up like that, but that's just a quirky thing that i noticed. i think if you stick to a particular rhyme scheme that stays consistent throughout the entire poem, it may flow better. also, resurrection and connection are misspelled. but this was still really good nonetheless, you chose your words nicely and i liked it very much. probably one of your best. 5/5
