First of all, this is a great poem. It made me think, which is one of the reasons i like it.
The first stanza reminded me of that song in alice in wonderland :P But more importantly, the roses reminded me of how we turn something thats ok into something unwanted and dangerous (like dreams or conversations for instance)
The second stanza felt like a "this isnt happening" sort of thing. We've all got our rainbows to hide under, but a lot of the time we use them to lie to ourselves and say that everything is fine when its not.
Third stanza, wow. I have this issue with timers and things that count down, because they remind me about how im wasting my time here on earth. This was sort of a wake up call, like, what the heck are we doing. There are so many amazing things to enjoy and love, yet we’re all here stuck on the bad things.
As for the fourth stanza, it made me think of a bad habit of mine. Hearing without listening is something I know I do a lot. And seeing/reading what I want to see… minds tend to warp what’s in front of us into what we expect to see, weather that thing is good or bad.
