Alive at Sea

by Lindsay   Oct 5, 2008

Out on the high seas
enjoying the oceans delicate breeze
sweet salty air assaulting my
senses
I look to the sky,
as blue as can be, the birds flying high
swooping low to feed on fishes.
My nose is bombarded
with the taste of the world,
strong, I feel the scent of Nature
on my tongue.
the boat creaks an wavers
under the force of the waves,
making my body sway
in time to the oceans metronome.
Out on the high seas
I enjoy the oceans delicate breeze
the gulls flying the sky
soaring ever so high,
the taste of the world on my nose,
the scent of nature on my tongue,
my hands grip the boats metal rungs,
and I feel so alive.

The poem was good for me, but it was really "excellent"

I feel that you could have done better, It wasn't the fact that it didn't have any rythme's at the end, I felt that the over all flow of the poem was up and down, up and down, then down, then up for a while.

If you count the syll. there are too many in most of the verses.

I really wanted to give it a 5, but it jut wasn't there for me.
