Say What We Need To Say

I'm sick of pretending
Like everything is fine,
When really, our friendship
Is gossip and lies.

We call each other friends
But we sure don't act it
Laughter, smiles, fun;
We lack it.

I don't know why we keep
Going on this way,
Why don't we talk?
Say what we need to say.

I don't understand,
We're acting like kids.
Can't we tell the truth,
Instead of spreading fibs?
