This poem is about how much a person can change over the course of a single year. I know everyone can relate to someone they love changing, and growing distant.

You wipe away all my tears,
And you push away all my fears.
You cradle me and say it's okay,
While your eyes shine in that sincere way.

You don't protect me like you used to,
Your heart is cold; sad and abused, too.
You push me away like you don't care,
You pretend that I'm not even there.
