Never Enough

by RavishingEruption   Oct 6, 2008

She gave him her heart
And he hit the bottle
Never enough

She made B's
They wanted A's
Never enough

She was ALWAYS there
Except for once
Never enough

Not even enough for herself
Writing all she couldn't say
In journals that she hid

Constantly trying to change
So the ones she loved would stay
Complete metamorphosis wasn't enough

I'm never enough
I can't even admit my own pain
The possible shame too much for my weakened mind

Words are never enough
To convey the brokenness and pain
This poem can never be enough

**I have no idea when I wrote this. I can't believe my outlook on life and the people around me were so dark and bleak, that I would write this.
