Homeless (First Night)

by Beautiful Forever   Oct 6, 2008

Shaking from the softest touch of wind,
Lying underneath a tree for protection,
Wondering when I could have sinned,
As I suffer under an unknown rejection,

Sleep is a distant hope lost in a dream,
A broken conscious is my only pride now,
Loneliness is begging for me to scream,
My wonderful life has fallen apart somehow,

Memories of a lover keep pushing me forward,
Although my legs break more with each stride,
I try to keep moving but I'm becoming bored,
Wishful thinking can not save a heart that died,

Praying for someone to save me from this hell,
I see many masked faces reaching for my hand,
But not a single one of them answers as I yell,
"Lead me down a path that I will understand"
