Just a Poem for Breanne

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Oct 7, 2008

All the things I can't do or say
The twisted world and its twisted way
The feeling now, it's incomplete
Shivering cold on the corner of a street

"Three years will feel like forever
But I need you to remember
It's not, Jesse, I swear it's not
I told you once but you forgot"

Those are Gabby's words not mine
Credit due is credit in due time
The heartbeat still beating through the cold through the rain
Still curled in the bed dry of tears, feel no pain

The sky tonight is darker than before
I can't feel my fingers anymore
They trace poems about you and me
I could have been-
I should have been more than a memory

I think I want to hug you
I know I do, I do
The doubt is if it would just be a hug
I'd kiss you, hold you, I'm sorry love

For all the thing's I've yet to do
I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I love you
It's worth it, I'll see you again
