Free To Be Me

by Ignoris   Oct 7, 2008

Free from all that, what's it like to be free?
Is it how I feel now, or how I want to be?
All I can say, and I'm sure you'd agree
Is that now I'm not blind, yes now I can see

Free from all them, I'm all on my own
Yeah that's what I want, I'm now left alone
Nothing but me is all that is shown
Now I'm not put out and chewed to the bone

Free, free, I'm finally done!
And don't have to listen to anyone
Maybe today I won't come undone
'Cause I'm free, free, new days have begun

I love when blindness and sight are used in less literal terms. Very good poem.
