One Last Time

by Lauren   Oct 7, 2008

It happened,
You drew your last breath,
I knew it was coming,
But still I wasn't prepared for you death.

Tears spilled from my eyes,
And they flowed from others,
We wept and grieved,
And cried into shoulders.

As I look upon you one last time,
My heart breaks in two,
I feel empty inside,
Why did this have to happen to you?

So many years were left,
It's not fair that you were taken,
We all love and miss you dearly,
And forever our hearts will be aching.
