Starry eyed smiles

by Cotton Candy Clouds   Oct 8, 2008

This is just supposed to be a little reminder,
to make sure that you really know.
I do love you the way you are.
Don't think I'm just putting on a show.

Of course I wish some things you do could
be something else or in a different way.
But the truth is, you are who you are and that's
what makes this real and not just another cliche.

Please don't change for me,
that's not what I want.
I know if you do, later it
will be back to haunt.

I just want you to be
what you think is right.
You being yourself is not
something I will fight.

Baby, can't you tell?
I'm in this to stay.
I'm not just another one of those girls
that will end up fading away.

Look past what the world sees,
and you will find me there.
You will than be able to look past
all the whispers and glares.

So take the time to embrace the moments of this
rare and intricate passion we are so lucky to share.
Cherish each little giggle and starry eyed smile, cause
never again will someone be able to obtain something this rare.

To make sure that you really do know.
take out do since it's repeated in the next line .

I do love this poem . The only thing i have to say is about your writing style in general . You should either pick the four line stanzas like in half your poem , or write out full sentences when it seems like one line isn't enough . It would just help out the flow .

So sweet. I love the message in it. It really sums up how you feel about someone you honestly love. I may not like this about you but I don't want you to change it because it's a part of you. Love it.

^^^How true these words are, dear Tabi.
When you truly love a person, you have to allow him to be whom he wants to be.

A very endearing write and I truly enjoyed!

    Hugs,
