A darkness falls over me
wrapping me in its grapse as I try to break free
It holds me there squeezing me tight
holding me back as I reach for the light
However it wont release me, agony and pain is what it yearns
it wont let go until my life takes a different turn
like a blanket wrapped around me cutting off my air
this darkness keeps me suffocated and in despair
I try again and again to reach for the light
but when I get there its taken over by the night
I'm then left alone crying cause I know whats true
this darkness will never leave as long as I'm with you
