Truth Suffices

by Michael D Nalley   Oct 9, 2008

Many things are left to our devices
In times of need and times of crisis
Benevolent philosophy offer advices
In the end it is the truth that suffices

For what is the truth at the end of the day?
But a guiding light that has shown the way
Is it the darkness that has much to say?
Or is it the divinity to which we pray?

Is it wise for any truth to be neglected?
Is the truth a passion that can be selected?
Or is it the light most often reflected
Where there is no substance it is rejected

In order to pray we must always believe
That each new morning will have a new eve
Darkness is an illusion not created to deceive
But a void in space that the light can relieve
