The Emotion in Your Eyes

by Kaye   Oct 9, 2008

There is an emotion in your eyes,
I'm too scared to face.
It turns your crystal blue orbs,
Into liquid blue flames.

It consumes you when you glance at me,
I see it when you stare,
It's a four letter word I'm afraid to say,
Too chicken to admit,
But longing to hear.

You see I've never done this before,
Gone and fallen so hard.
I used to be the one,
With the guarded heart.

But you seem to have snuck in,
When I couldn't see,
And you took over,
That fragile part of me.

That emotion that burns,
That liquid warm fire,
That makes the light dance,
That makes me ache with desire,

It makes me want to hold you,
And never let go,
It makes me want to keep you,
Protect you from foes.

I can't explain it rationally,
I guess that's what it's about,
I just know I Love you,
And I will from here on out.
