Sadness covered with a smile

by Shellaine shelli   Oct 9, 2008

Her sadness was covered with a smile
no one knew her life would be over in
just a short while.

society was oblivious to her pain
her dignity was never regained after
a boy came and broke her heart,
leaving her stranded and
falling apart.

like a puzzle piece by piece
with many getting lost a long the way
putting a smile on so that she can
face the day.

going out into the world
she would rather avoid
being trapped in purgatory
left alone to suffer over and over again.

counting the starts in the sky
to try and pass the pain she faces by,
lying when she really wants to die
and telling the others
she will try.

dreaming ahead to what she hopes for
trying to forget the love that she once adored,
love was real love was fake
now its her life she will take,
love took her heart
so she was left unwhole.

who ever knew a boy had the ability
to cause so much pain
who ever knew that love could
take someones life away...

love was what killed her
and it broke her down until she just couldn't take it anymore,
love was the cause of her tears
which splashed on the floor, drowning
her slowly each and everyday
until her smile was something
she could no longer fake....
