3 Stars to the Left

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Oct 9, 2008

She whispers something in his coffin
To her this isn't right
She should be there laying
He should be alive tonight

She kisses him on the forehead
Her tears make silver streaks
Which slowly turn to black
As makeup runs down her cheeks

All the things she said to him
That night that he drove home
He couldn't even hit the breaks
It was instant, still alone

It means he felt no pain
He was dead before he died
His heart and head stopped beating
Before his car was on its side

What she said that made him drive
To him it wasn't right
Too many tears in his eyes
Couldn't see the truck's headlights

She whispered something in his coffin
And she walked out of the room
Looked up at the night sky
Three stars left of the moon

He said they'd be together
He said that was their star
He'd always be there for her to see
He was never ever that far

They say that it's instant
But what about the pain you feel before
Sitting on her bed
Chair blocking the door

Silver revolver in her hand
One bullet, and one gun
She bit her lip and though
It is almost done

She whispered something in his coffin
She said she'd see him soon
She looked up at their star
Empty, Empty, Boom
