My heart is beating slowly
ticking each second away
inside my thoughts are churning
wondering just what should I say?

tick tick tick, time is dragging on
your waiting for me to say something
and I'm thinking thinking thinking
what do you want me to say?

you just pored you heart out to me
told me things I wanted to hear
you told me that you loved me
I know what you want me to say

truth be told, I knew it all along
but I don't feel the same
I'm not sure if I ever loved you
and I don't want to cause you pain
now what do I say?
