*So I wrote this about 3 years ago, and just found it today. Haha enjoy*
The stars are dancing in the sky
on this cool winter night
The snow is falling heavily
and I watch with great delight
It's warm inside by the fire
thought I long to be in the snow
But I sigh as I know I can't
and just watch the wind blow
But then there's a knock on the door
and I jump up, wondering who it could be
It was my friend Mary from down the street
and she said "Come play with me!"
So I run to my mother and beg
that I can play in the snow
She looks at me for a minute, and I knew
She didn't have the heart to say no
She said "Dress warmly
and don't be out too late"
I put my hat and mittens on
and for the snow I couldn't wait
