Forever Safe

She stood at his grave, looking up at the sky
He passed so fast, she wondered if he even knew
The love that once held them, still makes her cry
But she learned from her mistakes, and she grew
Now it's too late, he is gone forever
She hoped he knew how much he meant to her
As the sun slowly slipped behind the dark clouds
She looked down at his stone, her heart heavy
A single tear slipped down from her eye
She knew that he is forever safe in her heart
She kneeled down and cleared the stone from leaves
Everywhere she goes, she will hold on to his love
