Its only life

Darkened halls
Enlightened hearts
Darkened hands
Enlightened minds
Mind going crazy
As shots go off!

Early in the morning
Dead afternoon
Or dead of night

Just like every other day
My brother and I walked to school
Hand in hand
But as soon as we got outside
We hered men arguing
Then one...two...THREE
Shots went off
My heart stopped

A young woman
Came holding her stomach
yelling and screaming
Fell to the ground as she
Held her boyfriend!

Then THREE more shots went off
and the pregnant woman laid dead
In the middle of the street
On top of her boyfriend....

I cried
But my dad said Hun
"Its only life"
