Return

by Beautiful Chaos   Oct 11, 2008

Naive at sixteen
With raspberry dreams,
So sweet, yet so sour,
So dull that she gleams.

A star in the making,
Inside her own head,
Down the road she is traveling,
She'll sooner, be dead.

Her body, a gift,
She just gives away,
Her mind just can't fight it,
She drugs it each day.

False thoughts of love,
Drunken ill lust,
Fallen, so deeply,
With nothing to trust.

Mounting a sermon,
Of change that won't come,
If she can't love herself,
The spirit too numb.

Come back to that sweet girl,
We all used to know,
Let go of what hurts you,
This hate that you sow.

Lay sights on the life,
You dreamed you would find,
Before all this madness,
Before you went blind.

Firstly I'd like to say that I'm a fan of your poetry.
I love this piece so much, it somehow reminds me of myself, and most of the teens around the world.

Come back to that sweet girl,
    We all used to know,
Let go of what hurts you,
    This hate that you sow.
This stanza was my fave out of the whole piece, very interesting work here, I really love it :)

First stanza was really so captivating, I've admired it enough to complete the piece with much interest.
You seem like those old members, the good poets I miss on this site, I'm so glad you're on.

And last thing, of course not to mention the last stanza, the poem was ended perfectly =]]
    awesome job
