Only Dream

I wonder if people fear these things I do,
Would it scare them more if I told the truth?
Would they avoid me and my pain at any cost,
And never think about all the blood I've lost?

Would it matter if I told them my story?
A point proven- not all lives live with glory,
Do you think someone would actually care?
Maybe they'd mean it when they said they'd be there,

If God's looking out for me, I hope an angel's on the way,
Trying to lead me back home, trying to show me the way,
If someone out there cares as much as I want to believe,
Maybe I could get someone to stay, not make them leave,

No one ever stays, seems there's always something better,
I get the promises of saying they'll leave me never,
A promise only matters when its kept and followed through,
Could someone in this world just be there for me?
Could my only dream come true?
