Three Years to Watch

by StandStill   Oct 11, 2008

Stars in the sky,
songs in the cloud.
Do you ever wonder
why the world spins round?

Starlight shines,
amazing and bright.
Oh, it's just a day
which follows the night.

But it's different, you know,
it's different than this
when the world changes softly
like spring's softest kiss.

And it's true, don't you know,
the world is so strange,
and the nightmares bite deep,
and the goodness does change,

but darling you should know
that we're safe right now, tonight.
Three years isn't too long
to watch the starlight.

Gabby i really like this poem. I loved the last two lines,
    Three years isn't too long
    to watch the starlight

its like....yes, its nighttime, which usually signifies darkness and pain. But its also so beautiful. You make it sound like getting through these next few years will be as easly as laying in the grass and watching the sky.

    Hoorah for hope....
