Loving a Stranger

by malina   Oct 11, 2008

I stare blankly
At your outstretched hands
I don't know you
But I wanna be where she firmly stands

Your shy smile
I wish it was only for me
Confidently, we would stand together
For the whole world to see

Without hestitation
I gently grasp your fingers
Even just for today,
Can I be with you instead of her

With "THANK YOU"
I walk away, already you've become a speck in distance
Because of my pride, I couldn't say anything
I kept back with resistance

But I know
That I'll remember your eyes
Because they seemed like they won't hurt a soul in the world
Let me fantasize just for today
That I've become officially yours

THIS WAS ABOUT SOMEONE WHOS ALREADY WITH SOMEONE ELSE BUT WITH THEIR GENEROSITY, YOU INSTANTLY FEEL INTO THEIR EYES

Simple and yet so deeply etched with your feelings that are so easily conveyed through this poem. Amazing. 5/5 from me.
