Writers Block-The Sinking Ship

by HOLLY ARMER   Oct 12, 2008

All is lost...
I'm going down with the sinking ship
of my once vital ability

Harbors are
drifting on the horizon but
I can't swim the distance

Prose and stanza's
cemented to my feet while
syllables crash around my floundering head

Alas, I hear it
this voice upon the wind
faintly reciting poetry with angelic perfection

My words descending
sweetly from the lips of this
melodic creature filling me with hope

Revived
I tread the water
with newfound determintation
only to find....

this blank piece of paper staring back at me

*This is the first poem I've finished in two years. Writer's block is relentless!!!!

**Oh and of course I loathe the title, any suggestions would be great.
