Perfect Imperfect

by Helene   Oct 12, 2008

Sweet as the poison on your lips,
You curse me with a kiss.
And I am yours forever more,
Yours like ever once before,
Hold me down and make me stay,
I am yours, I will obey.

And now that you're gone,
I'm left catatonic,
Though I know you'll be back,
Which is slightly ironic,
I just can't seem to grasp,
That I finally found you,
And how cruel is our fate,
That I can't be around you.

Soft as the razor that runs through my heart,
You gather the pieces,
you tear them apart.
You make me stronger,
you make me weak,
You are the insanity that I seek.

Never beside me, always around,
You linger in a scent, an image, a sound,
And I worry one day,
You'll leave me behind,
you're the perfect imperfect,
I am ever to find.
